Function: readOutcomeInput()

TypeScript
function readOutcomeInput(input: OutcomeCanonicalInput): ValidateResult;

Defined in: pledge-core/src/canonical.ts:322 (opens in a new tab)

What a verifier refuses in an outcome (SPEC §4.1, §11.13). Evidence grants nothing, so its length and its line breaks are not refused, with one exception: a line feed in result would let another envelope give the same bytes (result "r\n witness: a" with witness "b" is result "r" with witness "a\n witness: b"). Every field after witness is strict, so it may hold one.
